Kerry Community Transport Ltd (KCT) is a rural transport company which covers all of Co.Kerry under the Department of Transport's Rural Transport Programme (RTP).

The RTP was initiated as a response to the growing acknowledgement of the economic and social impacts of inadequate transport in rural areas and the increasing level of interest amongst community and local development groups in developing and implementing locally based solutions.

KCT's Mission Statement is
To provide and promote community led integrated accessible and affordable public transport that links isolated people within communities to local services and facilities and also to influence transport policy at local, regional and national levels.

KCT has seen phenomenal growth with passenger trips increasing from 34,018 in 2003 to 116,651 in 2008 . Click to see figures 2003-2008

In the same period the number of services has increased from 5,493 to 11,598 in 2008.
